Lets talk about gaining your customers attention growing it and fanning it into a FLAME!
Immediate Attention Everything starts with a SPARK, which is you!
Your Spark of excitement is what you transfer to your client when you invite them to participate in your business. This is typically takes .5-2 seconds. Imagine it like this, if you were at a large gathering and saw your friend across the room you might wave to get her attention and shout her name. But attention is a limited resource your friend might see you but be distracted by a current conversation and not wave back immediately. We need to understand that when we send our SPARKS out to our customers and wave to get their attention (i.e. text messages, invitations to events/parties etc that our friends/clients etc may be distracted and require for us send a follow up wave, or walk across the room to greet them! We call this Follow Up in Mary Kay, and it is where the Fortune of your Business is built,
Short Attention *Fan the Flame*
Yay! You grabbed their attention, now its time to ask them to complete a task (join your FB group, hold a facial, be a part of your 30 Face Goal, etc) and take that SPARK and turn it up a notch, I sincerely think it is important that we understand 90% of women are built to want to help one another out. For example, if a friend called today and asked for you to bring a dish to an event you are attending because she was short one wouldn't you do your best to help her out? In fact I find that most women LOVE being asked, it makes them feel included and valuable to be able to contribute. One of the biggest makes consultants make is in NOT asking, they let fear take root or believe crazy lies like "My friends didnt respond because they dont like Mary Kay etc" and sadly they begin to extinguish their own SPARK.
Long Attention *Create a BONFIRE of excitement"
Woohoo!! This is when the fun starts!! Now you have built a client who uses and loves the product. Our #1 goal is to help then build habits using our product over a long period of time. This is where customer service comes in which will be covered at a later class.
